  In very early season (up to early April) there can be snow on the hills which can be very scenic and the streams may be in flood. The best time to walk is between mid-April and mid-May, after which it can get a little hot for some. The advantage of going in September and October is the warmth of the Mediterranean, though the landscape will have dried out somewhat.
