"Dear Mary and all at On Foot, We just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our recent walk in Croatia. All went well on the walks and Vlado was most helpful when we finished and arrived at Moscenicka Draga. The walks were well researched and accurately portrayed, with realistic timings and on the whole the accommodation was better than anticipated. The views from mount Ucka were well worth all the effort and will be remembered by us for a long time. We have already recommended it to friends." Sep '11

"Hi, I wanted to thank you for a great adventure!  It was hot, challenging (we took taxis part way for a couple of days), but beautiful, with wonderful people, and Vlado was very helpful and protective! The trail directions were generally excellent; the hotels/guest houses comfortable and generally welcoming with great food and company; every day was somewhat different scenery, all beautiful and interesting.  And you all were very helpful as we prepared for the trip." "...but our favourite walk all up is still Istria. It was amazing being so isolated and the scenery changed each day. It was at times tough but also so diverse and we even liked that the paths got a bit tricky at times. It was also nice finishing by the water. May '11

What we liked most was the sheer pleasure of walking for a week through the most spectacular and beautiful countryside, completely on our own seeing no-one apart from the local people at work or in their homes." April '11

"What we liked best? The stunning landscapes, the unspoilt, quiet and tranquillity of the countryside we walked through, the beech woods, the meadows, the wildflowers, insects, birds and wildlife we saw en route.. the joy of walking for a week through this gorgeous part of the country - unforgettable." April '11

"Istria is a lovely place to go to, and from what I've seen, and from what I've heard there should be lots of nice walks!!! There are also so many nice little villages around Motovun, that a single or two centre holiday should be possible! I think, the big problem might be a) accommodation and b) transport. Travelling puts your life into perspective. You adjust to the standard of the country you are in, and the Istrians definitely set a (high) standard in friendliness!!

"Nevertheless, after 5 days in really rural Istria, in authentic accommodation, walking into Moscenicka Draga was pure bliss! Such a lovely little village, so much "holiday like", and Ksenijas B&B was the best we've ever had, and she was such a lovely hostess! A perfect ending. The blue booklet was very helpful, all information we've required was in it. Vlado in Istria is a sweetie, contacted us, came to see us in Poklon, met us in M.D. and invited us for a drink, organised in the end even the rental car to be brought to M.D. rather than us having to go to Rijeka. Many thanks to him again!!"  Oct '10

"The highlights were the flowers and butterflies which were wonderful in the sun. All the organisation worked well without us having to do too much which is just great helping one to relax
into the walking. We'd also like to thank Vlado for keeping an eye out for us throughout the trip (which luckily we didn't need) and for his support in Moscenicka Draga. Thanks for a organising a great trip to Croatia. Jill and I both enjoyed it a lot, it certainly took us to a lot of places we would never have found by ourselves. The highlights were the flowers and butterflies which were wonderful in the sun following the recent rain." June '10

"What we like most was the beautiful, amazingly untouched nature - The lush healthy forests, the profusion of wildflowers, the cuckoos we constantly heard calling. AND the warm hospitality that met us at each destination." May '10

"… overall we all agreed it could rank as our best On Foot trip yet.  We loved the countryside, the walks, the people and had wonderful weather." Oct '09

"We loved the holiday, the woodlands and meadows were stunning, it was fun finding our way and at times rather exciting as we missed the occasional bullseye!" Sep '09

"The countryside is truly beautiful and we had a very enjoyable time. The quiet and isolation of the walking and the challenge of finding the way and completing the walk." May '09

"The transfer/booklet information was perfect."

"Vlado was excellent and arranged everything very efficiently for us."

"We found your arrangements excellent. The booklet and walking notes were very well presented and easy to use. The booklet gave just the right amount of background information."

"A perfect On Foot Holiday. Istria in May was paradise. Butterflies, bees, wildflowers, rabbits, an owl, a soaring hawk, tiny villages, high rocky hills.  Bread. Wonderful bread!"

"We had a really good holiday. Mostly the weathjer was good and the wild flowers were incredible. The fish at the seaside was great. Many thanks."

"What struck us most forcibly and repeatedly about this holiday was the amazing variety. Each day was different, terrain, pace, mood and scenery. We think we went at the optimum time of year for flowers - just staggering variety, but also insects and birds in profusion. Variety too in the types of accommodation and each was good in its own way. The walk was designed with great skill and a great joy as it unfolded each day. All the notes and arrangements were excellent."

"It seems we have only mentioned our stomachs when writing about the generous food portions, this is only because we enjoyed the whole holiday so much!"

"Nothing prepared us for the wondrous flowers and animals we saw, including an otter on day one and an entire nursery of wild boar on day 5. The most wonderful spring flowers I've seen for years."

"Congratulations on a wonderful product."
